Our
Mission
The
Mission
of the VCRCA is to provide efficient, effective, and accredited community-
based residential treatment programs and services to those youth and
families who require such services. Further, it is the mission of VCRCA to
administer these programs and services with compassion, fairness,
expertise, and prudence, with the aim to uphold the dignity and worth of
each person who is served.
Some of the specific
Goals and
Objectives of VCRCA are:

To assure adequate
funding for the continued operation and development of community based
programs necessary to provide services to troubled youth and their
families.

To influence
legislation, policies, and standards to improve services for troubled
youth and their families.

To provide a
communication forum and other opportunities for community based
programs throughout the Commonwealth to share information, and
exchange strategies to improve services to court involved youth and
families.

To provide technical assistance among
community-based programs.

To promote on-going
training, educational and technical assistance among community based
programs.

To identify and respond
to changes that we will be facing within the next 3-5 years.

To increase our
membership.
